Jordan-Hare North Brings New Student Life Space to the Heart of Campus

Auburn students will have new places to gather, eat, study, meet and celebrate as part of the Jordan-Hare North Project, which officially broke ground Sept. 10.

The seven-level, approximately 300,000-square-foot addition to Jordan-Hare Stadium is a joint project between Auburn Athletics and Student Affairs designed to serve the campus throughout the year — not just on football Saturdays. The project includes year-round gathering and event spaces, new dining options and flexible spaces designed to support meetings, programs and major university milestones.

For students, that means more room to spend time together in the heart of campus — whether meeting with classmates, attending an event, grabbing a meal or simply finding a place to spend time between classes.

"Spaces like this will make it easier to show up, get involved and lead."

- Willis Orr, Student Government Association president

Jordan-Hare North will also include the new North Plaza, creating an outdoor gathering area between Jordan-Hare Stadium, Petrie Hall and the campus core. The plaza is designed to improve pedestrian connections while giving students another visible, welcoming place to gather, study and host events.

The need for flexible student space continues to grow along with Auburn’s student experience. Auburn currently has 604 active student organizations, and 70% of students participated in at least one student organization or attended a related campus event during the 2024-25 academic year.

"Our students want to be there. They want to participate. They want to lead, gather, celebrate and be part of something."

- Bobby Woodard, senior vice president for Student Affairs

Jordan-Hare North reflects a broader commitment to creating spaces and experiences that help Auburn students connect, build relationships and find their place on campus.

On game days, the project will enhance the Jordan-Hare Stadium experience. Throughout the rest of the year, its student-facing spaces will support the everyday experiences that shape life at Auburn. See additional renderings and learn more about the project at EverAuburn.com.
